A computer virus' method is to infect your computer and then spread itself to another computer by any means possible.
Spyware is slightly different in that its method is to pretend to offer you one thing while actually doing something else. Usually this involves something unwanted such as recording your keystrokes (what you type), stealing passwords to email accounts or even worse, your credit card details...
There is no one program on the internet that can offer 100% protection from these nasties (so don’t believe the hype). However, what you should have is one decent antivirus programme and one decent antispyware programme with both offering real-time protection.
Of course, it may be too late to take any of the advice above. However, in the majority of cases, not all is lost. Give us a call and we can advise you of your options.
